Cue is useful when you want to move through a prepared manuscript yourself. Rehearse with the same screen and card direction you plan to use, so text size and navigation feel familiar when you speak.

Enter reading view

Choose Read script from your deck or editor. When Cue offers a saved reading position, decide whether to continue there or start from the beginning.

  1. Check the title and card count before you begin.
  2. Move forward and backward with the reading controls or the supported card gestures.
  3. Use the card overview to return to a particular part of the story.

Make the card comfortable to read

Whole-card fitting helps you see the entire card at once. Fit width makes text larger but can require scrolling on a short screen. Changing the device orientation does not rewrite the manuscript's card direction.

  1. Try the fit control at the screen size you will actually use.
  2. Open reading controls to show or hide the timer.
  3. Use full screen when your browser supports it, and test leaving it before presenting.

Rehearse the transitions

A timer helps you notice how long the delivery takes; it does not turn cards into a timed video. Practice the transitions between ideas and edit any card that makes you hesitate.

  1. Start the timer when you begin speaking and pause it when needed.
  2. End reading to return to the originating screen and edit the difficult passage.
  3. If you will be offline, open and test the prepared deck before disconnecting.
